Abstract
Mark S Smith is the Skirball Professor of Bible and Ancient Near Eastern Studies at New York University and has received scholarly acclaim for previous books on the religion of ancient Israel, such as The Early History of God: Yahweh and Other Deities in Ancient Israel.Authors retain copyright and grant the Journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this Journal.
This is an open access journal, and the authors and journal should be properly acknowledged, when works are cited.
