Abstract

An International Symposium on the Copper Scroll was held at Manchester University’s Institute of Science and Technology in 1996. The results became a collection containing 22 papers of which most were presented at this symposium. The principle speakers were Israel Knohl, Ëmile Puech and Al Wolters. Various issues concerning this scroll were addressed. The editors divided the publication into three sections: 1. Opening, restoring and reading the Copper Scroll; 2. Archaelogical and Linguistic Studies and 3. Interpreting the Copper Scroll.
