Abstract
The series The Aramaic Bible – the Targums – is prepared under the directorship of Martin McNamara and the editors Kevin Cathcart, Michael Maher and McNamara. The Tg of Canticles is already volume 17A of this series and has been prepared by the wellknown Targum scholar Philip Alexander from Manchester. The book consists of an introduction in which all relevant issues are discussed, followed by an exhaustive commentary of the targum.Authors retain copyright and grant the Journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this Journal.
This is an open access journal, and the authors and journal should be properly acknowledged, when works are cited.
Authors may use the publishers version for teaching purposes, in books, theses, dissertations, conferences and conference papers.
