THE DESIGN OF GOD IN LUKE-ACTS
Abstract
The theme of God’s design in Luke-Acts developed on a variety of levels in the narrative. Its analysis requires a multi-faceted approach which leaves enough scope for a number of motifs to be recognised as aspects of the same central theme. The article discusses how various techniques are employed by the author of Luke-Acts to develop this theme and gives special attention to key phrases in the Greek text.Authors retain copyright and grant the Journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this Journal.
