NEW CREATION AND RESURRECTION IN THE BIBLE AND IN A NEW SOUTH AFRICA: AN OLD TESTAMENT SCHOLAR’S PERSPECTIVE
Abstract
‘New creation; and ‘resurrection’ are discussed from the perspective of an Old Testament scholar, and interpreted in terms of the function of culture, world view and religion for a new South Africa. The obstacles, opportunities and other important issues pertaining to a relevant hermeneutical approach as well as some possible religious educational models for our context are discussed critically.Authors retain copyright and grant the Journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this Journal.
