Abstract

The contributions to this issue all focus on Old and especially New Testament issues. In-Gyu Hong analyses pivotal statements in Galatians in order to get a better grip on the perspective from which Paul writes, and to understand the development of his argument in the letter.

Jan du Rand proposes (in what was originally presented as his inaugural address as Professor of Biblical Studies at the RAU) a new reading of Revelation, underling the significance of this document in the present South African situation.

The contribution of Patrick Hartin focuses on Jewish Christianity in Antioch, and the developments in the first century.

Christo Lombard and Jannie Hunter offer an extensive review of the four volume series by colleagues of Unisa on the literature of the Old Testament.
