Abstract
Qoheleth’s statements on and view of death.Qoheleth’s statements on death are often quoted by scholars who write on the view of death in the Israelite tradition. This creates the impression that Qoheleth’s view of death is congruent with the view of death found in the rest of the Old Testament. It is argued in this article that Qoheleth’s view of death is at variance with both the earlier and later view of death found in the Old Testament.Downloads
