BIBLICAL STUDIES: ITS FORMATIVE VALUE IN THE EDUCATION OF THE ADOLESCENT
AbstractThe paper represents an apologetic for the formative value of Biblical Studies, based on a working description of the nature of education in the context of the school. The focus, therefore, is on matters educational. After a section on the nature of education and the task of the school, the scope of Biblical Studies and its formative value in the education of the adolescent is discussed, concluding with a perspective on the challenge presented by this subject.
