BYBELKUNDE AS SKOOLVAK: ‘N KRITIESE EVALUERING MET BESONDERE KLEM OP DIE LEERPLANNE
Abstract
Biblical studies as a school subject: A critical evaluation with special emphasis on syllabi Recognizing a dilemma in the present situation, the paper identifies various factors that contribute to the crisis and gives particular attention to the present Biblical Studies syllabi in schools. It is suggested that curriculum-development as an ongoing process, needs to be reconsidered regularly, thereby seeking optimum results. Certain considerations relevant to curriculum-development are proposed and a prototype working model for Std 6 – 10 is given as an example. A number of urgent proposals are listed in aid of resolving the problems of Biblical Studies on school level.Downloads
