THE TRUTH-COMMISSION: PUBLIC DEBATE AND THE ROLE OF RELIGIOUS BODIES (AFRIKANER/DRC)
Abstract
Unlike academics it is not my task to repeat what I have written. So I am deliberately moving away from the Truth Commission angle in “Country of my Skull” to use this opportunity to try and determine what kind of religious spaces are needed in the country, more especially in the rural areas and explore whether the churches and especially the Afrikaans Churches are or can be providing these spaces. In conclusion I would like us to consider whether South Africa can afford to be without such spaces.Downloads
