RE-EVALUATION OF THE TRANSLATION OF THE HEBREW CONCEPT חסד INTO LOMWE: A COGNITIVE FRAMES OF REFERENCE MODEL APPROACH
Abstract
This article demonstrates how the Cognitive Frames of Reference model can be applied to translate the Hebrew concept חסד into Lomwe. To accomplish this, the problem with the translation of חסד into Lomwe is presented. Then some of the practical procedure(s) used in the current Lomwe Bible translation project are examined in an attempt to find a suitable equivalent term (word or phrase) for חסד.Downloads
