WAS PAUL SINCERE? QUESTIONING THE APOSTLE'S ETHOS
Abstract
'By the appeal we make...we are not trying to trick you' (2 Cor. 2.17); 'We speak with sincerity' (1 Thess. 2.3-5). For centuries, paul's readers have accepted frequent assertions such as these at face value. Paul is regarded as an unpretentious writer, whose statements on theological matters honestly reflect his true convictions.Downloads
