SOUTH AFRICA 2000: TOWARDS A PERSPECTIV
Abstract
One of the characteristics of the first conference on Religious Education was that although the title dealt with RE in our changing society, what thinking there was about the future seemed to see it as relatively unchanged. There was on that occasion an interesting but predictable dichotomy – the whites hoped for gradual change, the blacks for rapid change. Nobody seemed to have any clear conviction that real change would occur at all, or what sort of change it would be.Authors retain copyright and grant the Journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this Journal.
This is an open access journal, and the authors and journal should be properly acknowledged, when works are cited.
Authors may use the publishers version for teaching purposes, in books, theses, dissertations, conferences and conference papers.
