READING JONAH MULTIDIMENSIONALLY: A MULTIDIMENSIONAL READING STRATEGY FOR BIBLICAL INTERPRETATION

In this article I will concentrate on the following: Firstly, I will explain what I mean by ‘multidimensional exegesis’. Secondly, I will formulate a multidimensional ‘map’ that provides the possibility of ‘plotting’ various exegetical-hermeneutical strategies and their interrelationships. Thirdly, I will describe the twofold reading strategy necessitated by multidimensional exegesis. In particular, I will elaborate on ‘competent reading’.
