THE STUDY OF RELIGION IN INDEPENDENT NAMIBIA
Résumé
The complex agenda of post-colonial Namibia has stimulated debate on the issue of a viable paradigm for the teaching and study of religion in a country with a strong Christian tradition and ethos, but also a progressive secular constitution and an emerging new multi-faith reality. This article reports on some practical and theoretical considerations that were taken into account in developing an appropriate paradigm for teaching and studying religion, on various levels and for different purposes in independent Namibia.Téléchargements
