POST-MODERN THOUGHT IN THE LIGHT OF WOMEN’S RELIGIOUS EXPIERENCE

Most of us are tired of hearing about the past and still present state of crisis in theology. And while we may indeed yearn for the past (and its elusive security) we long for the new. This crisis has presented a challenge and the time has come to ‘grid’ ourselves and stride confidently into new ways of thinking and behaving. Post-modern thought presents us with a key to this future.This paper is an attempt to put the past and look to the present. The paper has a double aim: the first will attempt a brief summary of post-modern thought and its relationship to contemporary sexism(and related –isms) as understood by Mark Kline Taylor ;the second half addresses the value of this thinking in the light of contemporary women’s religious experience in a changing South Africa.Téléchargements
