FROM THE EDITOR
Abstract
The present changes affecting the whole of South African society, of necessity also have consequences for the role of religion and of religious movements. A reassessment of the relevance of the Christian faith and the mission of the church is under way in many quarters. The contributions in this edition all have to do with aspects of this process of re-evaluation. Christianity and culture, the credibility of the credibility and church, theology and culture, and a dialogical approach to biblical/religious instruction are some of the themes discussed. New insights are offered, but at the same time it is clear that the debate is still unfolding and needs to be expanded in many directions.Authors retain copyright and grant the Journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this Journal.
This is an open access journal, and the authors and journal should be properly acknowledged, when works are cited.
Authors may use the publishers version for teaching purposes, in books, theses, dissertations, conferences and conference papers.
