CHRISTIAN AND SOCIETY IN 1 PETER: CRITICAL SOLIDARITY
Résumé
In a combination of a structural and a sociological approach, the ‘world behind’ and ‘the world in’ the text of 1 Peter 1:13-25 is explored in order to derive some implications for the ‘world’ which opens up ‘in front of’ this text within the socio-political situation in South Africa today. It is argued that the concept of a holy life which is expected from a Christian, might perhaps be ‘translated’ into critical solidarity: as Christians we are involved strangers. We should live in critical solidarity with our world, our society and our country.Téléchargements
